Heritage of London Trust can help you restore your local heritage. We can help with all planning of the project including preparing scope, budget and specialist reports.


Working on the fountain


Grants of up to £15,000 are available for the restoration of historic buildings and monuments which are available for public access and enjoyment. Any community organisation, representative of a community organisation or local authority can apply for a grant. Buildings or monuments do not need to be listed but must be considered of particular historic or architectural interest. Please contact us if you are unsure of your eligibility.

Grant applications are assessed and need to be approved by the Board which meets three times a year.

Successful projects receive a committed grant for a period of three years.

Funds are dispensed at project completion. 


  • Buildings in private ownership that are not open or accessible to the public.

  • Roof replacements or repairs

  • Restoration schemes where the work has already been completed

  • General maintenance or repairs

If the project is suitable for consideration, we will arrange a visit to discuss further with you. We will ask you to complete an online application form and you will need to demonstrate the project’s community benefit. If you are awarded a grant, we will continue to work closely with you throughout the duration of the project.
