We were thrilled to celebrate the launch of Hadley Green Drinking Fountain in Barnet. Over 120 people attended the unveiling of the fountain, with speeches by Dr Nicola Stacey, Director of Heritage of London Trust, Cllr Alison Moore, Mayor of the London Borough of Barnet and Peter Wanders. Local Barnet residents and representatives from Barnet Council joined the event and the ribbon was cut by the Mayor alongside Dr Nicola Stacey and Peter Wanders.

We were kindly hosted by the Ye Old Monken Holt pub across the road and a wonderful cake of the fountain was created by Blonde Bakes.

“We want all future generations to find inspiration and pride in where they live. We are so proud to have reached so many children over the last three years, and hugely excited for this opportunity to expand."

We are thrilled to announce a generous grant of £750,000 from the Jones Day Foundation for Proud Places. Read more in the Evening Standard here or see the image below:

The Proud Places: Reconnecting Young Lives conference was a great success this year. We had a brilliant turn out for our excellent speakers and lots of young people spoke from the podium about their amazing experiences within the programme.

“Very memorable speakers including the children who have benefitted so much and brought such great insight about the far reaching impact their experiences of Proud Places have both on themselves and on their wider circle of peers, family and friends.”

Many thanks to all who came and made it so fantastic!
