St Paul's Recreation Ground fountain dates from Queen Victoria’s jubilee but was damaged and not working since the 1970s. Along with Hounslow Council and the Friends of St Paul's Recreation Ground, we have restored and replumbed it and fresh drinking water will be back at the end of the month. St Paul's CofE Primary visited as part of our Proud Places programme and will be doing a a local leaflet drop to the local community, illustrated with some of their 40 fountain drawings.

We are thrilled to have secured the final part of funding needed from the City of London Corporation to begin works on the landing stage of Wanstead Grotto. We’ll be working closely with the Friends of Wanstead Parklands and London Stone Conservation, and work should be starting in April.

Thank you to Historic England and the Greenwich Society for their generous contributions to the restoration of Hyde Vale fountain, on the corner of Blackheath and Greenwich Park. HOLT launched this project in 2017, first getting it onto the Heritage at Risk register and then galvanising local support. Huge thanks to the conservation team at Greenwich Council and the trustees of the Greenwich Society for dedication to their local heritage and Historic England for their match funding of our grant.
